What is a Target Market Determination?
A Target Market Determination (TMD) describes the key features and attributes of a product that are likely to align to the objectives, financial situation and needs of consumers in the target market. Ultimately, TMDs set out who the financial product may be suitable for and how it can be distributed. Importantly, TMDs do not replace Policy Documents and are not a comprehensive summary of the product features or terms of the product. You must always refer to the Policy Document for the terms, conditions, and features of the product before deciding whether the product is suitable for you. |
Why do we have Target Market Determinations?
As a responsible life insurance provider, Resolution Life believes that customers and their advisers should be empowered to make informed decisions about which customers our products are suitable for. Accordingly, we have created Target Market Determination (TMD) documents to support this purpose and more, including: • To support a customer-centric approach to the design and distribution of products. |
